Berwick Rangers U20 2-2 Raith Rovers U20

22 October 2014

Berwick Rangers looked capable of beating Raith Rovers who were heading the league table at the start of the week but lost their way somewhat as the second half wore on. Player manager Colin Cameron and Matthieu Judor offered contrasting styles in midfield; the former Scotland international showing his class and the Frenchman, more than half his age, probably covering more ground than anyone else on the night. His long, arching passes also led to first half scoring chances for Craig Dargo and Euan Bauld but neither was able to cash in.

Elgin City Next Up

17 October 2014

The visitors to Shielfield this Saturday (18th KO 3pm) are Elgin City, who despite being currently at the foot of the table know that with the league so tight any win for either Berwick or them can propel a club quickly up the table.

Berwick Rangers 2-2 Montrose

15 October 2014

Berwick were guilty of letting another half-time advantage slip as a stoppage time strike from Paul Watson rescued a point for Montrose. The Gers raced into a two goal lead inside half an hour with goals from Darren Lavery and Ross Gray but Leighton McIntosh pulled one back for the visitors on half-time after a mistake from Stephen Tulloch.

In Town Tonight

15 October 2014

No football around on the TV Channels tonight? Why not give Shielfield a visit (KO 7.45pm) with Montrose in town for a League Two fixture in the SPFL. Montrose are just above Berwick in the table so it should be a tough test for the Borderers, who are home again on Saturday (18th) v Elgin City.
